How do you use rosemary oil on hair?
Apply to wet hair and scalp and massage it in with your fingertips, focusing on areas prone to buildup. Leave it on for 5 to 15 minutes before washing. For a more intensive treatment you can leave it on overnight and wash it out in the morning. It can also be used on dry mid lengths and ends as a finishing oil to add shine.
How often should you use rosemary oil on your scalp?
One to three times a week is a common routine. Daily use is not necessary and can leave fine hair looking greasy at the roots. Consistency over weeks matters more than frequency, and any change in how hair looks and feels is gradual rather than immediate.
Can you leave rosemary oil in your hair overnight?
Yes, if your scalp is comfortable with it. Use a small amount, protect your pillow, and wash it out in the morning. If you notice itching, redness or irritation, rinse it out and shorten the contact time to 20 or 30 minutes instead.
Is rosemary oil suitable for oily or sensitive scalps?
For oily scalps, use a smaller amount, apply it as a pre wash treatment rather than a leave in, and wash it out thoroughly. For sensitive scalps, patch test on a small area first.
